No-Code Builder: Does it require a person to know coding?

No-Code Builder: Everything you need to build without touching code

Stylish Cost Calculator is designed so site owners, agencies, and marketers can ship revenue-generating calculators without writing PHP or JavaScript. Here is how the current builder helps you stay no-code while still unlocking advanced workflows.

Drag-and-drop builder

  • Add sections, subsections, and elements directly from the visual builder.
  • Every element (slider, dropdown, file upload, PayPal/Stripe buttons, etc.) exposes settings, advanced options, and tooltips in the sidebar so you always work through form fields instead of code.
  • Reorder items with drag-and-drop (sortable containers are wired up in assets/js/scc-backend.js), so restructuring does not require shortcodes or HTML edits.

SCC AI Wizard (Optional but powerful)

  • The AI Wizard (admin/models/ai-wizard-model.php) lives inside the editor. Click the wizard hat icon and choose Intelligent Element Suggester to describe what you want to calculate.
  • The wizard proposes element stacks, copy, and pricing logic. You can accept, tweak, or discard each suggestion and it will write the calculator for you.
  • Credits are automatically managed (100/mo on Premium, 5/mo on Free) so you can brainstorm new ideas without rebuilding everything manually.

Low-code extensions when you need them

  • Features such as Advanced Pricing Formula and Fee & Discount Adjuster live beside the no-code elements, so you can add complex math only if a project demands it.
  • Conditional Logic, Smart URLs, and Embedding integrations are all configured through form fields – no custom hooks needed.

When to involve a developer

  • Custom CSS and webhooks (Zapier, Make, custom JS) are available if you want deeper integrations, but they are optional. The core quoting experience remains fully no-code.

Use the no-code builder for 95% of scenarios, lean on the AI Wizard to speed up ideation, and only drop down to CSS/webhooks when a project truly needs bespoke behavior.
